Miss Z told the story as she fed the Old Lady doll. We were able to feed her too.

Then she read us the story and pointed to the words so we could follow. 

Some of us were able to feed the Old Lady when we retold the story.

We then made a list of all the animals she  ate in order. 

It was so much fun!

Directions to make the Old Lady doll:

MATERIALS

glue gun

1 large oatmeal container

construction paper

oak tag

moving eyes(optional)

zip loc bag

markers

material-old sheet,or felt for dress and hat.

DIRECTIONS

1. Cut oak tag to the size of the box top and make a face on it.

Cut out a BIG MOUTH and glue it to the box top.

2. Cover the oatmeal container with coordinating construction paper.

Cut a hole for the tummy.

Glue the zip loc bag over the hole from the inside of the container.

3. Cut material the length of the container, but double or triple the width for a fluffy dress.

glue the material around the top with each end meeting in the middle above the tummy hole.

4. Glue material around the top of the head long enough to cover the top of the container.

5. Glue the sides of the head to the top of the container.

6. You will have to get toy animals to correspond with the story.
